Genesis 12

The LORD called Abram to leave his country and go to a land he would show him, promising to make him a great nation. Abram obeyed, traveled through Canaan, and built altars at Shechem and Bethel. A famine drove him to Egypt, where he told Sarai to say she was his sister; Pharaoh took her into his house but was struck with plagues and sent them away.
