Romans 6
Paul argues that believers who have been baptized into Christ's death must not continue in sin, because they have died to sin and are alive to God. He instructs them to yield their members as instruments of righteousness, for sin shall not have dominion over those who are under grace, not the law.

What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? | What shall we say then? Should we go on sinning so that grace may increase?
God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? | Not at all! We who died to sin — how can we live in it any longer?
Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? | Do You not know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death?
Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. | We were therefore buried with Him through baptism into death, so that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life.
For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: | If we have been united with Him in a death like His, we will certainly also be united with Him in a resurrection like His.
Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. | We know that our old self was crucified with Him so that the body of sin might be destroyed, and we might no longer be slaves to sin.
For he that is dead is freed from sin. | For one who has died has been set free from sin.
Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him: | Now if we have died with Christ, we believe we will also live with Him.
Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him. | We know that Christ, having been raised from the dead, will never die again. Death no longer has dominion over Him.
For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God. | The death He died, He died to sin once for all. The life He lives, He lives to God.
Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord. | In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof. | Do not let sin reign in Your mortal body so that You obey its evil desires.
Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God. | Do not offer the members of Your body to sin as instruments of unrighteousness. Instead, offer yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life, and offer the members of Your body to Him as instruments of righteousness.
For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace. | Sin shall not have dominion over You, for You are not under the law but under grace.
What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid. | What then? Shall we sin because we are not under the law but under grace? Not at all!
Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness? | Do You not know that if You present yourselves to someone as obedient servants, you are the servants of the one You obey — whether of sin leading to death, or of obedience leading to righteousness?
But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you. | But thanks be to God that, though You were once servants of sin, You have wholeheartedly obeyed the pattern of teaching to which You were entrusted.
Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness. | Having been set free from sin, You have become servants of righteousness.
I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness. | I am speaking in human terms because of Your natural limitations. Just as You once offered Your members as servants to impurity and iniquity, leading to more iniquity — now offer them as servants to righteousness, leading to holiness.
For when ye were the servants of sin, ye were free from righteousness. | When You were servants of sin, You were free from the control of righteousness.
What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death. | What benefit did You gain from the things You are now ashamed of? The end of those things is death.
But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life. | But now that You have been set free from sin and have become servants of God, the benefit You reap leads to holiness, and the end result is everlasting life.
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. | The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
