Proverbs 5

The father warns his son against the seductive words of the strange woman, whose lips drip honey but whose end is bitter as wormwood. He urges him to drink water from his own well — to find delight in the wife of his youth — and to remember that the LORD sees every path a man takes.

9Lest thou give thine honour unto others, and thy years unto the cruel:lest You give Your honor to others and Your years to the cruel;
10Lest strangers be filled with thy wealth; and thy labours be in the house of a stranger;lest strangers be filled with Your wealth, and Your labors end up in the house of a stranger;
11And thou mourn at the last, when thy flesh and thy body are consumed,and You mourn at the last, when Your flesh and body are consumed,
12And say, How have I hated instruction, and my heart despised reproof;and say, "How I have hated instruction, and my heart despised correction!
13And have not obeyed the voice of my teachers, nor inclined mine ear to them that instructed me!I have not obeyed the voice of my teachers, nor inclined my ear to those who instructed me.
