1 Chronicles 4

The genealogy continues the clans of Judah, including the prayer of Jabez who asked God to enlarge his territory, and records the families and settlements of Simeon.

10And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested.Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, "Oh that you would bless me and enlarge my territory, and that your hand would be with me, and that you would keep me from harm so that it might not bring me pain!" And God granted what He requested.
