Revelation 21

John sees a new heaven and a new earth, and the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. God shall dwell with His people, and He shall wipe away all tears from their eyes — there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, nor pain. The city has no need of the sun or the moon, for the glory of God lightens it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.

4	And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.	God will wipe away every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death, sorrow, crying, or pain. All those former things will have passed away.
5	And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.	He who sat on the throne said, "I am making all things new." He said to me, "Write this down, for these words are true and faithful."
6	And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.	He said to me, "It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. To anyone who is thirsty, I will give freely from the fountain of the water of life."
7	He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.	The one who overcomes will inherit all things. I will be his God, and He will be My son.
8	But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.	But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the abominable, murderers, the sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars — their part will be in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone. This is the second death.
9	And there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb's wife.	One of the seven angels who had the seven bowls full of the seven last plagues came and spoke to me, saying, "Come, I will show you the bride, the wife of the Lamb."

18	And the building of the wall of it was of jasper: and the city was pure gold, like unto clear glass.	The wall was built of jasper, and the city itself was pure gold, clear as glass.
19	And the foundations of the wall of the city were garnished with all manner of precious stones. 24	And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it.	The nations of those who are saved will walk in its light, and the kings of the earth will bring their glory and honor into it.
25	And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there.	Its gates will never be shut by day — and there will be no night there.
26	And they shall bring the glory and honour of the nations into it.	The glory and honor of the nations will be brought into it.
27	And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life.	Nothing that defiles will ever enter it, nor anyone who does what is shameful or false. Only those who are written in the Lamb's book of life will enter.
