Psalms 131
David declares that his heart is not proud nor his eyes haughty, and he does not concern himself with great matters beyond him. He has calmed and quieted his soul like a weaned child with its mother, and he calls Israel to hope in the LORD forevermore.

| 1 | LORD, my heart is not haughty, nor mine eyes lofty: neither do I exercise myself in great matters, or in things too high for me. | My heart is not proud, LORD, my eyes are not haughty; I do not concern myself with great matters or things too wonderful for me. |
| 2 | Surely I have behaved and quieted myself, as a child that is weaned of his mother: my soul is even as a weaned child. | But I have calmed and quieted myself, I am like a weaned child with its mother; like a weaned child I am content. |
| 3 | Let Israel hope in the LORD from henceforth and for ever. | Israel, put Your hope in the LORD both now and forevermore. |
