Psalms 121

The psalmist lifts his eyes to the hills and asks where his help comes from, answering that it comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth. The LORD neither slumbers nor sleeps but watches over His people, shading them by day and guarding them by night, preserving their going out and coming in forevermore.

3He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber.He will not let Your foot slip — he who watches over you will not slumber;
4Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.indeed, He who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.
5The LORD is thy keeper: the LORD is thy shade upon thy right hand.The LORD watches over You — the LORD is Your shade at Your right hand;
6The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night.the sun will not harm You by day, nor the moon by night.
7The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul.The LORD will keep You from all harm — He will watch over Your life;
8The LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.the LORD will watch over Your coming and going both now and forevermore.
