Psalms 115

The psalmist contrasts the living God in heaven, who does whatever He pleases, with the lifeless idols of the nations — silver and gold that cannot see, hear, or speak. He calls Israel, the house of Aaron, and all who fear the LORD to trust in Him as their help and shield.

15	Ye are blessed of the LORD which made heaven and earth.	May You be blessed by the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth.
16	The heaven, even the heavens, are the LORD'S: but the earth hath he given to the children of men.	The highest heavens belong to the LORD, but the earth He has given to mankind.
17	The dead praise not the LORD, neither any that go down into silence.	It is not the dead who praise the LORD, those who go down to the place of silence;
18	But we will bless the LORD from this time forth and for evermore. Praise the LORD.	it is we who extol the LORD, both now and forevermore. Praise the LORD.
