Psalms 11
The psalmist declares his trust in the LORD when told to flee like a bird. He affirms that the LORD is in His holy temple, His eyes test the children of men, and He rains snares on the wicked while the righteous behold His face.

| 1 | In the LORD put I my trust: how say ye to my soul, Flee as a bird to your mountain? | In the LORD I take refuge. How then can You say to me: "Flee like a bird to Your mountain. |
| 2 | For, lo, the wicked bend their bow, they make ready their arrow upon the string, that they may privily shoot at the upright in heart. | For look, the wicked bend their bows; they set their arrows against the strings to shoot from the shadows at the upright in heart. |
| 3 | If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do? | When the foundations are being destroyed, what can the righteous do?" |
| 4 | The LORD is in his holy temple, the LORD'S throne is in heaven: his eyes behold, his eyelids try, the children of men. | The LORD is in His holy temple; the LORD is on His heavenly throne. He observes everyone on earth; His eyes examine them. |
| 5 | The LORD trieth the righteous: but the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul hateth. | The LORD examines the righteous, but the wicked, those who love violence, he hates with a passion. |
| 6 | Upon the wicked he shall rain snares, fire and brimstone, and an horrible tempest: this shall be the portion of their cup. | On the wicked he shall rain snares, fire and brimstone, and a horrible tempest; this shall be the portion of their cup. |
| 7 | For the righteous LORD loveth righteousness; his countenance doth behold the upright. | For the righteous LORD loves righteousness; His countenance does behold the upright. |
