Proverbs 29
Contrasting proverbs address the ruler who loves justice versus the ruler who listens to lies, the rod of correction that gives wisdom versus the child left to himself who brings shame, and the fear of man that brings a snare versus trust in the LORD that brings safety. Where there is no vision, the people perish.
