Genesis 8
God sent a wind over the earth and the floodwaters receded; the ark came to rest on the mountains of Ararat. Noah sent out a raven and then a dove to test whether the ground was dry, and when the dove did not return he knew the waters had subsided. God told Noah to leave the ark, and Noah built an altar and offered burnt offerings; the LORD vowed never again to curse the ground or destroy every living thing.

She returned to him in the ark, for the waters were on the surface of the whole earth. So he put out his hand and took her and brought her into the ark with him. |

| 17 | Bring forth with thee every living thing that is with thee, of all flesh, both of fowl, and of cattle, and of every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth; that they may breed abundantly in the earth, and be fruitful, and multiply upon the earth. | Bring out with you every living thing that is with you of all flesh—birds, livestock, and every creeping thing that creeps on the earth—so that they may swarm on the earth and be fruitful and multiply on the earth.' |

The LORD said in His heart, 'I will never again curse the ground because of man, for the intention of man's heart is evil from His youth.
