Exodus 14
God hardened Pharaoh's heart so that he pursued Israel with his chariots to the shore of the Red sea; the people cried out in fear, but Moses said the LORD would fight for them. The LORD told Moses to stretch out his staff, and a strong east wind divided the sea all night so that Israel walked through on dry ground with walls of water on each side. When the Egyptians pursued, the LORD threw their army into confusion, and the waters returned and drowned Pharaoh's entire host; Israel saw the great work and feared the LORD and believed him and his servant Moses.
